Rotafil was founded in 1960 thanks to the technical and entrepreneurial skills of the founder, Cav. Massaro Vincenzo, who, after 10 years of apprenticeship as a professional electric motor repairman, decided to set up his own company in Padua with the aim of producing motors of the highest quality and reliability. With expertise, determination and foresight he grew the company.
Lindhaus was founded in 1987 with the sole purpose of designing and building the best professional and domestic cleaning machines worldwide. The heart of the machines are Rotafil motors.
The name unequivocally defines the mission of this product: the world's first carpet cleaner with a 5-stages filtration system and Hepa filter. This carpet cleaner was approved by U.S. hospitals, both for its exceptional cleaning efficiency and for its filtering system. This is the first professional model that Lindhaus USA has distributed.
The ultra-strong professional carpet cleaner model RX has been developed with a three sizes base, 380, 450, 500 mm, a double connection between the base and the suction body, a complete kit of on-board accessories and the same Hepa filtration system of the Healthcare Pro machine. This machine has faithfully maintained the concepts fundamental to Lindhaus (Rotafil motor, quietness, reliability and light weight) becoming the reference model of the top of the range market of the 2000s.
In 1992 an office was opened in Minneapolis USA to distribute throughout the U.S. market the domestic machines DP5 and DP5 evolution.
In 2001 Lindhaus machines were ranked the best in the world for value for money, filtration efficiency, noise level, durability and low energy consumption. This enabled Lindhaus to obtain approval as an "Official Supplier of the White House."
In 2007 after about three years of design, prototyping and testing, the first multifunction floor scrubber-dryer was born: LW 30 pro, LW 38 pro. We created the first lightweight, multifunctional, high-performance professional floor scrubber driers. The construction concept that led us to the important weight reduction at the handle is derived from the previous "Dynamic" study thanks to which we have placed the vacuum motor and the brush motor, both in the base, leaving the free space in the vertical body for the tank placement only. These machines not only wash the floors and dry them perfectly in a single pass with double suction, they can be equipped with an upholstery/glass cleaning kit. Thanks to the features that distinguish this new product, since 2008 with our scrubber-dryers we have been supplier of the Royal Palace in Amsterdam.
The Atlantic Hotel in Dubai starts purchasing Lindhaus carpet cleaners from the Dynamic line. In the same year, Buckingham Palace and Windsor Castle are cleaned by the large-area professional carpet cleaner LS50 Hybrid.
The University of Helsinki (Finland) starts purchasing the LW46 Hybrid professional scrubber-dryer. Three years later in November it will also buy the LB4 L-ion backpack as well as the Robby robot. The Parliament of Finland in Helsinki buys our professional scrubber-dryer LW46 Hybrid and in 2018 also the Robby robot.
A unique machine, entirely covered by an international patent, was born in 2016. It combines the mechanical force of two counter-rotating rollers “twin force” rotating at 2000 rpm to a perfect suction across the full width on both floors and carpets.
During the Covid period, we reinvented ourselves by creating DepurAir and SterilAir. The former purifies the air through the action of ultraviolet germicidal UV-C LED lamps, while the latter sanitizes the air through the misting of hydrogen peroxide.
